New Brunswick Express Entry stream
Express Entry aligned · No job offer required
Typical threshold: Ranked from an expression-of-interest pool; no published CRS floor
- · Two pathways. New Brunswick Interest needs only a letter of interest in your federal Express Entry profile and the federal proof of funds — no job offer and no prior tie to the province. New Brunswick issues that letter; you cannot request one.
- · Employment in New Brunswick, the other pathway, needs 12 months of full-time TEER 0–3 work in the province for an employer operating there for the past 24 months.
- · Both pathways require CLB 7 in all four language skills, a Canadian high school diploma or equivalent, one year of continuous TEER 0–3 experience in the past 10 years, and 67/100 on the selection factor grid.
- · You must be between 19 and 55. This is an absolute bar, not a scoring factor.
- · Since 3 February 2026 New Brunswick is not issuing invitations to candidates in accommodation and food services (NAICS 72), nor in a list of occupations regardless of sector — retail sales and supervision, cashiers, shippers and receivers, butchers, and fish and food processing labourers among them.

New Brunswick Skilled Worker stream
Paper-based (not Express Entry) · Needs a job offer
Typical threshold: Ranked from an expression-of-interest pool; scored on employer and candidate factors
- · The support of an eligible employer operating in New Brunswick for the past 24 months, and CLB 4 in all four language skills.
- · Three pathways: New Brunswick Experience (6 months with the supporting employer, 6 months living in the province), New Brunswick Graduates (a post-graduation-work-permit-eligible programme at a New Brunswick institution), and New Brunswick Priority Occupations (a job offer arising from a provincial recruitment mission).
- · Your nomination certificate states whether you apply through the Express Entry process or the non–Express Entry process. Only an Express Entry nomination adds the 600 CRS points.
- · Since 4 May 2026 invitations under the New Brunswick Experience pathway are limited to health care, education and construction, because the stream is running short of allocation.
- · The same accommodation, food services and retail exclusions that apply to the Express Entry stream apply here.
